Thrift Style Thursdays: Summer Dress Turned Fall Fab (together with Spoolish)

2013-09-11 18.40.23

I have been looking for a thrift/style blogger to collaborate with for a while, but it’s really hard to do when the person who approaches you (or vice versa) doesn’t read your blog. But that’s not the case with Martyna of Spoolish and me. We’ve been blogging buddies for a while now. I think it’s our passion and love for thrifting that brought us together, as well as our Easter European heritage ๐Ÿ˜‰ She even interviewed me for her blog a few months ago, that was a big honor for me!

We are going to make this a weekly post on both of our blogs, and depending on how it goes, planning on starting link-up parties for our fellow thrift and style bloggers! Hopefully you guys will want to join in!

Our first item is a summer dress, and how to style it for fall:

Since I’m a firm believer that maxi dresses are a fashionista’s version of sweat pants, I decided to style a maxi dress, throw in some bold jewelry and definitely add a chunky sweater. I am a huge fan of wool, because it’s a warm and cozy material, that doesn’t retain unwanted odors. I also threw in some wedge booties, and viola! My stylish, thrifted, fall outfit is ready!

I am wearing: Mossimo Maxi Dress – thrifted, Ann Taylor sweater – thrifted, Black Wedge booties Enzo Angiolini – thrifted, Being Zhenya necklace from oNecklace, thrifted bracelets and necklaces, Marc by Marc Jacobs watch.ย My lipstick is Bobbi Brown in shade Slopes.

    • The boots were $1.50! Can you believe it? I looked up the brand later, and they are a Nordstrom brand, so probably cost around $100 ๐Ÿ™‚ I was one happy camper. I know that wedge is a little too high for me, but it’s so worth it! Off to check your post now, lady ๐Ÿ™‚
