Savers Thrift Haul

One of my favorite Savers in the Twin Cities area is located in Woodbury, and last Saturday I finally got to go there! And of course I scored 🙂 How could I not! I will be honest with you though, some of the finds might surprise you, but it’s all about confidence and whether or not you can pull it off 😉 I also feel like some of you who have just started following me, might enjoy not just a picture, but a video post! Here is my Thrift Haul, which includes an answer to a question every thriftier has asked themselves at least once: What’s inside those jewelry jars? You know the ones they price at $10-$15 and fill with chachkies? I always thought they were broken pieces of jewelry and was going to repurpose them, but it turns out that all of the pieces are absolutely fine!

Everything but the watch and the necklace around it came from the Savers Jewelry Jar! Watch is Marc by Marc Jacobs, and the necklace that I am wearing as a bracelet is vintage, it used to belong to my grandma, I brought it from Russia!

In my next post we’ll talk more about the Mustard color wool jacket! I have a very easy solution to the oversized jacket problem!

Have a great weekend!

I don’t know about you, but I am going sailing!

Everyday Fashion From Around the World: Alya from Ukraine

Hey everyone, and I hope you are as excited to read this post as I am to write it! I love adding on to the Everyday Fashion From Around the World segment on my blog, and today’s blogger is Alya, she calls herself a beautyholic 🙂

One fine day she discovered herself in the world of beauty on YouTube, and just couldn’t give it up.

She now has her own channel, where she posts videos about make-up, hair, outfits, etc.

She’s lived in the city of Dnepropetrovsk in Ukraine her own life. Today she is going to share with us what an ordinary Ukrainian Big City girl would wear on an ordinary day. Dnepropetrovsk girls like to look pretty, but they are not extremely concerned about what they wear. Alya is no different. She likes skinny jeans and loose tops, or skirts and heels. But let the pictures speak for themselves.

Top: Pimke, Jeggins: Zara, Shoes: Bronx,  Purse: “a la” Zara

Dress: Incity, Unknown brand red belt, Shoes: Bershka

Jacket: Stradivarius, Dress: Incity, Unknown Brand shoes

Have a fabulous day,

Zara
не мне платье Incity, безымянный красный пояс и туфли Bershka
на мне куртка Stradivarius, платье Incity, и какие-то безымянные лаковые туфли

Всем отличного дня,

Have you ever won? A lottery? Won in a game? Won anything? I have recently won a YouTube giveaway, and this was the most perfect giveaway for me, which included both purses and jewelry! The package came today, and since I am not there, Sam opened everything and showed me on Skype! He is the best fiance, really! I am not going to post pictures of what I won, well except for one thing, this Ted Baker purse in purple!

You can see the rest of my goodies here

Also please support the girls if you are into DIY and fashion! Subscribe to their channel! Thank you Stephanie and Melissa!

Going Herbal

I am all for healthy lifestyle, healthy food, healthy (organic/natural skin or body care), I have recently watched this video on YouTube

And decided to try and give up tea and coffee, and everything else that has caffeine. That requires making my own herbal tea, because it’s a pain in you know what to buy in Russia. Second, it’s cheaper to buy herbs at the drugstore and make it myself.

I quickly googled herbal tea recipes, obviously Google came up with over 1,200,000 results, all I had to do was scan those recipes to learn what I needed to buy. I already had chamomile and sage. I came home with 6 new boxes, from dandelion to peppermint, and decided to try one of the recipes out.

Since I am not drinking coffee this week, I had no regret pouring the leftovers from my french press down the drain. And started making my tea.

For this recipe I used:

1 tbs peppermint

1 tbs chamomile

And water! Genius, I know! I also use rose hips syrup or honey instead of sugar!

PS. Why French Press and not a regular tea pot? My personal preference, besides it’s glass, so you can see all the herbs “swimming” inside!

Also – lemon juice is something you definitely want to buy when going herbal!

I miss American honey that comes in a plastic teddy bear 🙁 BOO!

The list of herbs that I bought: Dandelion, Rose Hips, Juniper, Peppermint, Yarrow

Happy Drinking

Well, you know what I mean!

LIVESTRONG Zhenya – It’s over!

Well over is not exactly the right word! My daily posts are over, but I am keeping my profile on , for my own personal record, you can check it out if you want too!

Some results, some numbers…

I lost 4 pounds in a week, just by tracking my calories down, working out, eating right.

I can finally say that I’ve had 64 oz of water every day during this period of time.

I worked out for at least 10 minutes a day, plus walking – walking is a GREAT exercise!

I am now one of those people who reads all the ingredients and counts the calories when buying food at the supermarket.

I have finally gotten used to drinking a glass of water before every meal!

Thank you for checking out on my journey with me (it was short but good). I might blog about it in the future, just to keep you updated, tell you how I am doing. Don’t forget my FAV FAV FAV YouTube Channel, wonderful workouts, videos in Russian and English

Live Strong,
