Snow has finally made it appearance on the streets of Milwaukee. And it only means one thing – I get to take my snow boots out of the shoe box exile that they’ve been in all this time. This year I added a new pair of winter boots to my collection – Bearpaw’s Morgan in Hickory from 6pm!

As you can see from this look cozy is key this winter, layering my favorite button downs with comfy sweaters, high waisted jeans, and comfortable warm boots is my jam!

From weekend brunch to walking over to the gym this pair of boots has quickly become my favorite. I love the lace detail on the side and the cozy inside. Truth be told, it is like wearing slippers outside, but so much more stylish!

I’ve worn these out shopping, to work and on even on my latest road trip to Sheboygan to visit Kohler Arts Center. I especially loved the Chelsea Hotel exhibit!

What’s your go-to footwear in the winter? I would love to see pictures too, feel free to tag me on Instagram or in comments below! Have you ever shopped at 6pm.com? What is on your wishlist?

And if you are looking for stylish cozy foot wear this season for yourself or someone you love as a holiday gift, check out Bearpaw at 6pm.com!

Classes are in full swing and all of a sudden I am busy with all my assignments and readings. But I love it. It does mean a little less time for the blog. A little less words. Though that’s what we need sometimes – less words.

Here is a dress so beautiful and unique you may think I am weird. It’s a Bel Kazan. And is more of a summer dress than anything. I really don’t care what season it is though, I just want to wear it.

I styled the dress two different ways. Do you like it more with a sweater over it or a leather jacket?

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone!

Style Resolutions 2015 – #ThriftStyleThursday

We all have goals when it comes to personal style. Yesterday 2015 style resolutions even got brought up during #stylechat on Twitter! Today I though I’d share some of mine:

1. Wear more solids. I haven’t really been into patterns, and now every time I shop or thrift I seem to be gravitating towards solids (unless it’s a swimsuit!), I have cleaned out my closet a few times over the past month, and even though I have quiet a few patterns left, I am going to be wearing them with a lot of solids.

2. Wear more vintage. I go through “vintage craze” stages, and if before it was accessories, now it’s definitely clothes (denim, shirts and sweaters in particular). I have a couple velvet dresses that I can’t wait to show you.

3. Wear more handmade. I am trying to make more time to knit, crochet, sew and DIY some pieces for myself, as well as for my Etsy store, hopefully 2015 will be a good year for that, and I will stay organized and on top of stuff!

4. Wear what I already have. Thrifting lets me switch up my wardrobe every week. I could shop at a thrift store every week if I wanted to, but this year I am going to make an effort to wear what I already have, and shop less.

5. Have fun! I want to inspire with my outfits, but I also want to have fun! So if you see me wearing my husband’s graphic T-shirts, don’t be alarmed! I’m just having fun!

I never would’ve thought I’d be wearing a skort, but here it is, and it’s amazing! I have a few fun things and events coming up this week and next. There will be another shoot, a store event, a fun Valentine’s Day giveaway and a couple exciting announcements.

Also, this semester I am writing for CollegeFashionista, and I am pretty pumped about that! I will make sure to share my posts and photos with you here and on Instagram.

The photos are from a shoot I did for Alacloth Vintage with Eric Sorensen a couple weeks ago.
