I actually think those ladies could use some Warby Parker sunglasses to go with those hats 😉

“Old Hollywood Inspired” Warby Parker Hayworth Collection

THE HAYWORTH COLLECTION TAKES ITS CUES FROM THE VAMPS AND PRIVATE EYES OF CINEMATIC HISTORY: THE WILLIAM HOLDENS, BARBARA STANWYCKS, JAMES CAGNEYS AND DICK POWELLS. EACH FRAME IS TOPPED OFF WITH VINTAGE TOUCHES RENDERED IN OUR SIGNATURE CUSTOM ACETATE AND PREMIUM JAPANESE TITANIUM. IT’S A NEW TWIST ON OLD HOLLYWOOD.
Friends, “Old Hollywood” isn’t just a theme for weddings anymore! Yes, you heard me! Warby Parker has released a new Limited Edition eye wear Hayworth collection. I agreed to share this launch on a whim, maybe not thinking hard enough. But the collection couldn’t be more stunning, surprising, stellar, stylish, and well yes, everything that old Hollywood embraces.
Working on this review was a good opportunity for me to learn more about the company, and even though I don’t wear eyeglasses (Thank you, God, and carrots! for my 20/20), I wear sunnies, that they have plenty of! Sam, on the other hand wears glasses, and doesn’t wear sunnies, so I feel like I can spread the vintage bug onto my husband (he already thrifts with me, so why not go for vintage?)
Since my obsession with vintage is quiet obvious, this was a perfect collection for me to explore. The unisex of it all is something that you notice right away. But there definitely are options, which I love. I fell in love with this pair right away:
Here are some other interesting facts I learned about Warby Parker:
– It was born out of collective personal traits: a penchant for outrageous outfits, an affinity for vintage collectibles and a strong desire to make the world a better place. The creators have tried to reflect this spirit in the eyewear—bringing unique, vintage-inspired designs to customers at a reasonable price—all the while, providing a pair to someone in need with every pair sold.
The idea is similar to Tom’s shoes, they donate a pair of eyeglasses every time a pair sells.
– Their goal is to create boutique-quality, classically crafted eyewear at a revolutionary price point.
And that’s probably my favorite part! My husband has been wearing the same eye glasses since junior high, and every time I tell him that it’s probably time to go get a new pair, he always says that they don’t make those frames he likes anymore, and it’s too expensive!
– They cut out the middleman and the prices are extremely reasonable for designer eyewear! Check out this table:

– The website has a beautiful clean design, no unnecessary advertisements, which is always a good sign. My favorite section though was Our Photography, where you can see people, who wear Warby Parker Sunglasses, and let me tell you, they are a good looking group, or is it the sunglasses?
I don’t know about you, but this kind of visual information presentation always gets me! I am hooked, honestly I am! And if I had an extra $100 laying around I would definitely order a pair of shades. Unfortunately, all of my eyewear comes from TJ Maxx or Marshalls. Oh, maybe someday!
I don’t know about you, but I am already putting together outfits in my head featuring those sunnies, maybe just maybe I will be able to afford them by summer 😉
