Roses are red and pink and white and purple! They all fit on this 90’s spaghetti strap dress so nicely. Happy Thursday, enjoy the link-up! Tomorrow is my Birthday!
Welcome to another week of #ThriftStyleThursday! I am so excited we are back on track with our weekly posts! It just makes me so happy!
This week’s host is Beth of Life with Bethie The Boo, and she came up with a cozy sweater theme. This winter I feel like I am the sweater queen! I obtained a lot of new different sweaters, and I am wearing them with everything! I especially love layering them over dresses.
The oversized sweater look is definitely my favorite!
Do you wear a lot of sweaters? What styles do you prefer?
Make sure to head over to other gals’ blogs and check them out! This week we are so excited to have Mounia of Chic-ky join us!
Missed last week’s #ThriftStyleThursday? No worries, here is the post.
And as a quick reminder, there is a Vanity Fair Lingerie Giveaway going on for Valentine’s Day!
Check out my

I finally came around to making a T-shirt for my blog, and then wore it to take pictures outside.
The shirt is still not done, I am planning on adding sequins or beads to the letters to outline them, but it’s a start!
A lot has happened in the past couple of days, and I have more projects going on than time on my hands, but like I tweeted yesterday, I am extremely grateful for what I do as a blogger, and for those who take me seriously!
At the end of the day it’s all about sitting down and enjoying the sunset.
For the past couple of days I have been in full fall mode, putting together looks for my Instagram, pinning images to my Fall Fashion and Style board on Pinterest, wishing the august humidity would go away.
I can’t wait to wear plaid, see more of it on the Runway at NYFW that’s coming up, and see how you wear it.
Only 2 days left at work, and that’s including today!
Talbots booties – thrifted Goodwill, Gap Dress – garage sale, Lucky Brand denim jacket – thrifted Goodwill, Necklace – thrifted Goodwill, Coach bag – gift from a friend

Last Friday we took a train to St Paul. The green line has been up for a couple months now, and that’s the train I’ll be taking to the U every day for the next two years of my life, so I was more than excited to check it out.
Why were we headed to St Paul? To check out Mickey’s Diner. If you’ve seen Mighty Ducks, you know what I’m talking about.
The diner, the food and the downtown St Paul are definitely charming, and small. I fell in like. I am glad you are only a train ride away now, St Paul.
I thought that maybe before bringing you any more stories from my closet, I should tell you a little bit about it. It’s nothing fancy, plain white, and I have to share the left side of it with my husband’s clothes. My rack is starting to give way, because of all the weight of all the hangers with the clothes, and the fact that I put more than one item on my hanger to save the room.
To be even clearer on what my closet consists of, I made you this:
Now where are all my refashion on this graph? They are probably evenly split between whatever I have freecycled and thrifted in the past, maybe in the future they will get their own slice, but for now I like keeping them where they are 🙂
Also – shoes and accessories aren’t really included into all this, as well as outer wear, like coats and trenches – I do have a slight obsession with those 😉 I keep shoes in a different closet, where I actually have nice shelves for them. Let me know if you would like to see any shoes stories at all 🙂
Now why do I have so much thrifted stuff? I simply believe in reusing, and recycling, as well as the fact that clothes that have gone from one person’s closet and survived, then survived a thrift store life and still look good, will last a pretty good amount of time.
Wishing you all a fabulous Sunday!
As I was organizing my jewelry box today, I found some pieces I wanted to share with you. All of them are vintage, some I got from my grandma, some I thrifted back when I lived on the UWS. Enjoy!
I wore this with my DIY Gap shirt, you can check out a post from March, 8,2011, to see how this looks on a person!
These are the pins I added to my collection.
These are from a thrift store on 83rd and Columbus!
