DIY Friday: Getting ready for Spring Scarf

As ironic as this is going to sound, I am writing this post while it’s snowing outside! Yes, snow finally decided to make it’s appearance in Minnesota. Needless to say I didn’t miss it a bit, but looking at the white fluff falling from the sky I can’t help but say “Aww!”, hoping that it will be gone tomorrow ;)

Today I decided to share a fun and easy project with you. Well easy if you have a sewing machine! I started with this piece of fabric:

Which I cut into 4 pieces (FYI: you only need 2 to make a scarf! So here I have enough material for 2! And everyone knows that 2 is better than one!)

Then I sewed the two pieces together:

And decorated the front with lace that I freecycled last year!

BTW that’s my new comforter in the picture :) The first paycheck was spent well!

And please ignore my McDonald’s shirt, I only wear it around the house, or when I workout!

Happy snowy 3-day weekend from Minneapolis!

xoxo,

Z
