Who doesn’t like a fresh start? A new opportunity? A new chance? These are just some of the amazing things a lot of us look forward to in the New Year. This year my biggest goal is to travel more. I have a road trip and a Euro trip in the works, I have all of the outfits planned for these already čśë as one always should! I am also working on advancing in my yoga practice. Yoga is something that has kept me centered over the last year and a half, and I want to find inner strength to make my practices more challenging.

Make up has always been one of my creative outlets, a form of self-expression, just like my outfits. There are days when I wake up in the morning, look at myself in the mirror and honestly wonder – “How am I going to go through the day?” Then I put some make up on and realize that “I actually turned out okay”. I am starting this year with some new make up products from Neutrogena┬« and a new makeup look. Flawless skin is not a myth, it is achievable with the right makeup and today I wanted to share my new routine for 2018. Remember to be creative with your makeup and if you don’t feel like applyng a specific product, save it for another day!

I have always loved and trusted Neutrogena┬« skincare products, so this year I am finally taking the next step and relying on Neutrogena┬« for my makeup needs. I feel like this is the brand that creates product with customers’ skin in mind. They use┬áquality ingredients and formulas, and the value when you spend money on Neutrogena┬« Healthy Skin┬« foundations as compared to more expensive options is impeccable. All of the products that I am using in this post are now available at Walmart, you can find the Healthy Skin┬« foundations for a better value than any other storefront.

For this look I will be using:

  • Healthy Skin Pressed Powder ($9.97 available in 4 shades) ÔÇô Suitable for All Skin Types, results in light-medium coverage, evens out skin tone, and has an anti-oxidant blend.
  • Healthy Volume Mascara ($7.47 available in 5 shades) ÔÇô Provides up to 400% fuller, clump free lashes. One of the key ingredients of the mascara is Olive oil, which helps condition the lashes as well.
  • MoistureSmooth Color Stick ($7.97 available in 14 shades) ÔÇô Moisturizing color that conditions lips, made of Mango & shea butter.
  • Healthy Skin Blends ($10.77 available in 2 shades)ÔÇô for Sheer illuminating color, designed to enhance skinÔÇÖs healthy glow, key ingredients are Vitamin C and botanical conditioners
  • And┬áMakeup Remover ($4.97) to take it all off at the end of day čśë

Step 1: Start with a fresh face and apply Healthy Skin Pressed Powder all over. If you have oily or combination skin apply more product in those areas.

Step 2: Define your eyebrows.

Step 3: Use a neutral eyeshadow for that everyday look. Add eyeliner if you feel like it!

Step 4: Apply the mascara. It’s there for you to help open the eyes! Mascara is one of the products I always wear, even if I have zero time to get ready.

Step 5: Experiment and play around with highlighter and bronzer to define the cheekbones and nose. I never thought I would admit to it, but my cheeckbones are one of my favorite features.

Step 6: Finally bring it all together with Healthy Skin Blends and apply some lipstick. I’ve been into neutrals in 2017, so I am starting 2018 with deeper darker colors. This color is called Deep Plum.

I hope you all give Neutrogena┬« products a shot in 2018. Their vision is to be equal parts scientist and beauty expert. To do the kind of thorough research that inspires trust. To have products women want to share with their friends. To offer makeup that magnifies a womanÔÇÖs confidence and gives her a range of looks-without ever eclipsing her true beauty. Their┬áproducts make you feel like you are doing the best for your skin, leaving your skin looking healthy and beautiful! And making you feel good in your skin.

And the best news is there are some special offers on these products at Walmart, so make sure to take advantage of those:

  • You can also currently find $3 off Healthy Skin coupons at Walmarts but the supplies are limited.

My Easy Summer Go-To Makeup Routine

Yes, I do realize summer is almost over, but I felt compelled sharing this with you, because I realize that there are maybe some, who don’t even use makeup, and maybe it will inspire you!

As you know, I’ve been using a BB Cream instead of a foundation, and am planning on doing so through the fall (depending on how my skin acts, because that can be unpredictable). More about my new favorite BB here!

Then I apply brow pencil. I used to be a huge advocate for using eye shadow as a brow filler, but have lately shifted away from it! Why bother finding the right color (it’s hard to do even in the professional lines) in the eye shadow, if they make so many pencils and the choice is definitely easier there!

I also comb through my brows with a brush afterwards. Now some people choose to do it beforehand, but I really don’t have that much brows going on, so that’s how I do it.

Remember that eyebrows are a frame for the face, and well… because of this too…

Next I move on to mascara. I am currently using Rimmel’s Lash Accelerator, and do highly recommend it, if you are going after length as opposed to volume!

Then I top it all with a powder. I just bought a new Covergirl Professional loose powder. We’ll see what it’s about. In the picture I am using pressed powder by Faberlic (which by now has broken into many many pieces and is a pain in my know what to apply! Hence the Covergirl)

One of my new favorite products is the Dandelion blush by Benefit! I will stand by it no matter what! Try it too, you’ll love this blush. And it is one of the few product exceptions when I am not using my own brush to apply it, but the one that it came with!

And finally I add a little lipstick. I have a Long Last Lipstick from Clinique in All Heart, and even though it’s a gorgeous color, I think it’s too dark for the summer, so I simply dab it and spread it out with my finger.

And that’s it! This is how I do my makeup these days! And trust me it takes way less time, than it took me to write this post čśë
