The easiest leather DIY bracelet you’ve ever seen!

A while ago I freecycled a giant bag of leather, inside of which was another bag filled with leather straps like this:

Seriously, there is like 30 of them in the bag!

So I took one, wrapped it around my wrist 4 times (you can do it as many times as you like 🙂 )

Once I estimated the desired length, I cut the end off and also trimmed it, to make it narrow, so that it would fit through the buckle…

And viola!

You can also add studs or beads, unfortunately I didn’t have any around, but I think that plain leather looks pretty amazing on it’s own. I also know I got quiet lucky with those buckles, if you don’t have a buckle, I suggest making 2 wholes on each end, and pulling a string or a ribbon to tie the entire bracelet together!

So let me know what you think! My husband already told me that I look like his video games characters 🙂

DIY Bandana Pillow cases

Today’s post is about one (actually 2) of my favorite things around the house, the pillows! And I am going to share this amazing DIY idea for pillow cases. How did this idea come to me? I had a lot of spare bandanas laying around, and decided to put them to good use!

These pillowcases have been around for at least 3 years, and I am blogging about them only now, WHY? Oh, who knows, but it was my friend’s Erin’s idea! So thank her 🙂

Anyways, for the pillow cases you are going to need 2 bandanas for each pillow. And they don’t necessarily have to be the same color. See, mine look different if you flip them over. That adds versatility, right?

So here is what you do! Take the two bandanas and simply tie all 4 corners together. (I was originally going to sew them together, but MEH)

You can tuck the knots inside, so that they aren’t visible! Enjoy your pillows everyone!
