Have you ever wondered what your hair would look like after you’ve been wearing it in the top knot for the whole day? Today you’ll find out!
Here is a dress I’ve had since my NYC days, so circa 2009. I got it at the famous Housing Works on the UWS! I absolutely loved that store, for some reason there was always something there for me! So if you can – go check it out! It’s on Columbus and W 74th St!
And if you ever wondered what a top knot does to your hair… Well, here is the answer!
Happy Hump Day!
The weekend is almost here!
After channeling out my inner Lumberjack woman and spending 4 hours trimming the hedge at our new house yesterday morning, I knew I had to go back into fashionista mode, and pulled together this cute and simple outfit to share with you guys!
Top – Gap, thrifted Savers//Skirt – Michael Kors, thrifted, Housing Works//Shoes – Target //
Watch – stole from Sam//Hat – thrifted, Goodwill// Necklace – H&M//Bag – Old Navy
I also spent some time channeling my inner child and went on the swings! I absolutely love it, and I am so happy there is a playground near by where I can go and be silly whenever I want 😉
Have a wonderful day dolls! Who are you going to channel today?

I have finally decided to stop caring, and start wearing my weekend aka nice clothes to work. You know when you have a job which implies getting dirty? And you start saving the better clothes for the weekend? Kind of? Well, there are only so many weekends in the year! And after wearing this to my daycare job today, and hearing the compliments from parents and my co-teachers, this rule stays 🙂
Old Navy skirt and T
I hope you had a great Tuesday! Enjoy your Wednesday and Happy 4th!
Sometimes simplicity is the best. I usually don’t stress about my summer outfits, simply keeping them simple! I also wanted to take more pictures with my Nokia Lumia 928. Give or take, this phone takes great pictures!
I received from Verizon Wireless, in exchange for my honest opinion. For more information, please click on the Verizon Voices Icon below!
Happy Monday everyone 🙂

There are oh so many things you can do with denim, so I finally decided to make a top from all the leftovers I had!
My goal was to make something reversible, something that you could wear both ways, something without back, or front… I also knew that I definitely wanted to incorporate crochet into this refashion.
I used two different pairs of jeans, cut off the pant legs, traced one of the tops that I had to get the size right, and added the embellishments:
The crochet piece is made of a really thick cotton hemp like yarn. I followed a simple pattern, used a 3.5 mm hook, and after a couple hours and a couple blisters, I think it adds to the piece and makes it very unique!
I sewed the two sides together, finished the edges off with some vintage bias tape (thank you freecycle) and was ready to go! You can notice that in the picture above the zipper is positioned differently that in the pictures below! That’s because I decided to flip it upside down for a better fit and a vest-like effect that can be achieved with this top!
After I finished the top, I went to the Sculpture Garden, one of my favorite spots in the whole world! Hence, perfect for this photo shoot! So with my Samsung Galaxy
in hand, I mean in Sam’s hand – that’s what it looks like …
I am wearing:
Skirt – Refashioned Vintage // Boots – Steve Madden // Sunnies – Lucky the Weekender // Bangles – H&M // Bag – Vintage Coach // Watch – Marc by Marc Jacobs
Have a great weekend!
PS. I honestly think the photos turned out great, even though it was dusk – one of the hardest times of the day to photograph in my opinion!
We are also moving next week! Wish me luck!
There is nothing like the smell of wet wool! It was a rainy day today in Minneapolis, and I got caught in it while I was on the phone making my next $16 haircut appointment at the Aveda Institute…
This sweater came from Goodwill in Hopkins last Saturday as I was thrifting for something striped for my Refashion Runway contest! It caused a big discussion at work today too! But one thing for sure – it’s one of the most comfortable sweaters you want to wrap around yourself on a day like today, and if this is the route our weather is taking this year, I am sticking to my decision!
I am Wearing:
Sweater – Alcott & Andrews // Jeans – Express // Flats – Nine West // Top – Target
PS. What do you think of the sweater?

What do you get when you put a fashion blogger on a bike? Here is what…
I AM WEARING:
Jeans – Express // Polka Dotted shirt – vintage Lady Manhattan (thrifted at Goodwill outlet) //
Jacket – Club Monaco // Shoes – Fashionol
None of the photos (especially the action ones – I almost ran my husband over twice! – would’ve been possible without my Samsung Galaxy Camera!)
Do you ride bikes? And what do you usually wear?
Happy Hump Day!

A couple weeks ago I attended one of the Minnesota bloggers meet-up events, which was a yoga class lead by Katie of Strawberry Halls Forever. It was an amazing experience, not only because I got to meet other bloggers in the area, but also because it was my very first yoga class!
I have been doing yoga for over 4 years now, but never in a group! I am a loner (read cheapskate 😉 ) when it comes to working out. I love my work out DVDs and videos I find on YouTube (check out Fitness Blender – it’s one of the best resources out there!)
Now I got into yoga by accident, and let me explain how it happened! Back in my good old nannying days when I lived on the Upper West Side everyone and everything breathed and talked yoga! You see I was always more of a runner, and I loved my strength training as well! Remember Cindy Crawford’s videos from the 1990’s? Those were my go-to workouts for many years! My mom got me into them back when I was in 8th grade! And I still do them 2-3 times a week, though I’ve switched over to Jillian Michaels since then! But let’s return to the UWS though… I was really into FIT.TV and since the family I worked for had Warner Cable, I took advantage of it every day! I got into Gilad’s workouts, and Namaste Yoga by Kate Potter was on right after! So I gave it a shot and FELL IN LOVE! And have been doing it ever since! I tried other workouts by other instructors, but Kate Potter won me over!
And even though I’ve been doing yoga all by myself for a long time, I feel like it’s one of those experiences you need to live through as a group, so one of my goals this summer is to find a yoga class to join, so if you know of a good one in Minneapolis and western suburbs area, please let me know!
Another thing that I’ve come to realize is that I don’t really have any good yoga clothes, and to me being fashionable at yoga is much more important than when I go for a run. So as I was looking for cute yoga clothes, I came across C9 brand at Target!
They have very affordable and stylish work out clothes, designed specifically for yogis 🙂 And if you watch their website close enough, you can get coupons and discounts on C9 brand pretty often!
Bust a (yoga) move in these stylish, snazzy pants from C9 by Champion, a Target-exclusive line of fitness.
It’s a well known fact that red lipstick does wonders, it’s practically a miracle worker (well, that’s if you believe in miracles <— You can tell I just watched the latest Star Trek). It doesn’t only make your teeth appear whiter, but your nose smaller, it basically draws attention to your lips, away from all the other features (that’s only if you want it to) And even though there are people who are so very against it, all I have to say is suck it up and give it a shot!
I AM WEARING:
Dress – Unknown Brand (Designed in France though) // White Tank – Forever 21 //
Purse – Vintage Kenneth Cole (available in my Etsy store) // Watch – Marc by Marc Jacobs//
Sandals – Target
Who is my perfect red then? This little guy by Faberlic – from the Premium Lipstick collection, #4295. I know that most of you States side are not familiar with this brand, but if you live in Europe, I am sure you heard about it. It’s very similar to Avon and Mary Kay! I was offered to try out some of their products a while back and this red lipstick was one of the items I picked out:
Who is your perfect red and do you wear red lipstick in general? I think it’s perfect for the summer, can’t wait to show it off more often!
