The Balayage Effect

Balayage-medium-length-hair

Last Saturday I went to Juut Salon in uptown for my very first balayage appointment. I found the colorist on Instagram. See, being addicted to Social Media isn’t that bad after all! Besides, Charlie did an awesome job! The process took a pretty long time, I was there for 2.5 hours, which made me glad I booked it for 9.30 am! I had such a fun experience though! Balayage is not your original highlights (this article has some really great info!), and the effect is absolutely different. Highlights always make me stripey, when balayage is more of an all over color with a highlight effect. Plus I got my hair wrapped in saran wrap, which was definitely new and different, and super fun!

Of course the main judge was at home, I hope you’ve guessed that it’s Sam 😉 He loved it! And when I told him I was going to go even blonder in April, well, that just made his day!

Enjoy the photos, and let me know if you’ve ever done a balayage, do you dye your hair? Any tips you want to share?

Don’t forget to follow me on Social Media, and check out Charlie’s Instagram feed!
