Roses are red and pink and white and purple! They all fit on this 90’s spaghetti strap dress so nicely. Happy Thursday, enjoy the link-up! Tomorrow is my Birthday!
As you know I’ve done shoots for Alacloth (a vintage Etsy store run by my friend Ann) a few times, and every time I see the photos, I always wonder to myself – why don’t I wear more vintage? But the thing is I tend to only like the items my friend Ania picks out, but when we shoot all I want to do is take home half of the clothes. And I would if closet space wasn’t an issue. A girl can dream, right?
Today I went to my friend Melanie’s house and her upstairs, which is a lot similar to ours is her closet. All of it! If you’ve been to my house you can imagine what I am talking about.
So I am hoping to be able to clean and organize my upstairs, start and finish a couple DIY projects, organize and replace some living room furniture and have an updated decor post for you. Meanwhile, here are my favorite vintage pieces at the moment.
The shinier, the denim-er, the awkward-er, the better. Here is to the 90s! To the fashion, to the beauty, to the fever. Finally this cut off skirt makes an appearance on my blog. Knowing me, you’ve probably learned that I will save that one particular item, for that one particular day, for that one particular outfit that I will shoot three years in the future. And overkill or not, I am loving this look, this style, and everything silver in between.
Happy Thrift Style Thursday my loves! I hope you enjoy this 90s style look, and it inspires you to create your own, channel your inner child, teenager, alter-ego, cat lady, vintage lover, nerd, geek, whoever there is inside of you that needs to come out!
This week I am so excited to welcome Sarina of Nuttier Than Nutella to our gang! We are excited to have you and hope you love #ThriftStyleThursday!

Happy Friday and a flash back to the 90’s. With the weather finally warming up and spring being here, I can’t stop but take more and more outfit photos outside. My almost 18 year old photographer is amazing, and I love her so much for dealing with me almost every day! Thank you Elvira, you are a star!
Being busy is hard. Being busy and blogging almost every day of the week is hard. Being Zhenya is hard. But in spite of all that, it’s still fun and amazing. And I count my blessings every day when I get to share my post with you, because I get to share my life, my passions and my dreams with you.
Grunge is something I WASN’T in high school. But it was amazing to try on, and I’ll be honest, I loved it!
90’s style love it or hate it? Do tell!
And even though I am a day late for #ThriftStyleThursday, I know these girls have some great ideas and inspirations for you:
I am going to be honest with you, I can’t get enough of the Dr. Martens I thrifted. They are amazing! And since I told you a story from high school in my last post, I figured I’ll tell you another one from my past today! What can I say, I guess these shoes bring back the memories 🙂
I was in 7th grade when I discovered thrift stores. There was one big one in Vladimir (my home town), and everyone thought it was the new IT spot. I remember the first time I went there with my mom right before 9th grade. I got a lot of new T-shirts, some overalls (I wish I still had them to style this year 🙂 ) , anyways…
After I got the hang of thrifting, I started wearing more and more new clothes to school. And of course other kids started noticing it. I had a friend in school, his name was Max, and I am pretty sure he knew what was going on, so every time I would wear something new, he’d joke around and say that I got humanitarian aid from the States.
Too bad you are not around anymore, Max…
Happy Tuesday and have a great day!
