Luminess Air Airbrush Cosmetics Review

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post on behalf of Luminess Air and Hawkemedia. All opinions are my own.

I have recently completely changed up my makeup routine. I switched from the BB cream I’ve been using to Luminess Air Airbrush Cosmetics. It’s been amazing, and it’s pretty safe to say I am never going back to regular makeup again.

I never thought airbrushing to be that of a big deal like other bloggers made it seem. It’s pricey, seemed like it would take too much time, and I was fine with the products I currently had. And then I tried it. Airbrushing is the bomb, I tell you! It helps create an even skin tone, makes me look younger, and keep my skin matte longer.

My favorite part is the application. I am a firm believer that you should avoid touching your face as much as possible, and this is the perfect tool for me. And I actually like the feeling of air blowing on my skin, though I was terrified I was going to airbrush myself in the eye by accident.

You simply start by matching your color on by uploading a photo, or going directly into purchasing the kit and selecting a color from there.

Since my skin tends to get oily, I went with the Matte foundation, and a medium color. When I received my Aqua and White Luminess Air kit it actually came with two different shades, which is perfect, because my skin tone will definitely change once the summer is over.

The airbrush system is extremely easy to use at home. I simply watched a video on how to correctly use the stylus and went from there. (The video part is REALLY important, don’t skip out on that!)

I had a photoshoot with my friend Ania of Alacloth Vintage last week, and she definitely noticed the difference in my skin.bbb1

As you can see from the photos it’s perfect for covering up blemishes and any imperfections that I have. I’m pretty excited I had the opportunity to try out the Airbrush system, because I would’ve never bought it for myself.

Have you ever tried an airbrush system? What did you think?

  1. WOw, you’ve been me really curious! Thanks for sharing with Fun Fashion Friday!

  2. I have always been curious about at home airbrush makeup. It looks great on you!

Thank you for joining TBT Fashion link up and hope to see you Thursday.

  3. That is an interesting tool. I think you did a great job using it too. Thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop.

  4. Looks like a great product! I love your quirky style, the outfit with the striped top is an amazing casual but put-together look, love it!

  6. Yor skin really does look amazing… I struggle with acne and scarring (aging too!) and I have to say, your post has piqued my interest in airbushing. I might have to look into it.

  7. Interesting. I’ve never tried airbrushing – it does seem to give you an even tone, though, which is nice.

  8. Oh WOW! In those pictures you can really see the difference between regular makeup and airbrushed makeup (I have some not-so-great makeup pictures to prove that). Let’s just say I want to try airbrush cosmetics myself now! 🙂

  9. I’ve never tried one. I haven’t worn makeup in over 15 years and they didn’t have these available to the general public back then. You look beautiful but if you ask me you looked beautiful before you used it 🙂

  10. I never thought about it before but I can see why touching your face while applying make up could be a problem. This looks great and fun to use.

  11. This is amazing that you were able to do this. I had such trouble with another machine.
