The velvet trend is one of my favorites this fall! I recently got this Crushed Velvet Swing Dress at Forever 21 for only $12.90 (I actually got it in both colors), and have been loving it! It’s so soft and easy, plus you can style it in so many different ways! It makes a nice addition to my vintage velvet dress collection.

Are you wearing velvet this season? How do you style it?

Happy Monday! Today’s post is a little different. Yes there is a style component and a link up, but I also want to talk to you aboutĀ Nature MadeĀ®, the #1 Pharmacist Recommended brand for many key dietary supplement categories (Based on the 2016 U.S. News & World Report ā€“ Pharmacy Times Survey)Ā The vitamins that help me take my health to the next level. Okay, maybe that was an overstatement. These are the vitamins that I actually look forward to taking every morning.

I have recently gone to Walmart to shop for Nature Made vitamins. Walmart offers a great variety and prices on these products. I love shopping for vitamins, reading about the different benefits that they have, and deciding whether or not they fit in with my lifestyle. If you don’t knowĀ Nature MadeĀ®Ā has a variety of vitamins, minerals, and supplements (VMS) to help support nutritional gaps with your health goals in mind ranging from Digestive Support, Heart Health & Function, Energy Metabolism, Womenā€™s Health and much more!ā€

This time I decided to go back to basics and pick the “Multi for Her” gummies with Omega-3s. Now there is a part of me that loves these vitamins for their resemblance to candy, but I do strongly believe that taking your daily vitamins can help your health and overall wellbeing.

I work a lot, go to the gym almost daily, and still want to spend time with my friends and family, so these vitamins fit right in. Needless to say I bought two bottles to help me achieve mind-body balance šŸ˜‰ Next on my list –Ā Nature MadeĀ®Ā Probiotics, that are also conveniently available at Walmart SuperCenters.Ā TheseĀ Nature MadeĀ® Advanced Dual Action Probiotic has been clinically studied and provides dual support to both your small and large intestine for comprehensive coverage to help support digestive balance and healthy gut flora.ā€ ā€

Of course, there is something in this post for you. Make sure to enter here for aĀ chance to win one of 60 Walmart gift cards worth $50 each (No Purchase Necessary).

Now for the style aspect of the post – I’ve been wanting to capture the His for Her trend for a few weeks now, and I feel like this outfit translates it perfectly. I used all of the pieces that I already had in my closet to create this look.

A huge thanks to Kaitlyn for taking the time out of her day to take pictures with me! You are absolutely wonderful! Make sure to check the blog she writes together with Sarah – The Duck and The Owl.

Luminess Air Airbrush Essentials

luminess-air

Testing out and reviewing new beauty products is probably one of the main reasons why I love blogging so much. Today I wanted to share my review of the Airbrush Essentials from Luminess Air.

I started using Luminess Air products about a year or so ago, and quickly fell in love with the ease of application, ability to determine the coverage, and the long lasting effect of it.

This fallĀ I’ve partnered up with Luminess Air again to bring you a series of reviews that I will be sharing over the course of the next few months.

I started with the Airbrush Essentials. A set of 3 products aimed to target different skin concerns. The set includes:

  1. Porcelain – helps create the smoothest, most flawless skin.
  2. Eraser – erases uneven skin texture and large pores.
  3. X-out – conceals dark circles under eyes.

All of these products are meant to be used pre-foundation. Porcelain is a primer, Eraser is a serum, and X-out is a concealer. So you are getting a variety of products in this set.

Now when it comes to using them, I definitely prefer Porcelain most days, with a little X-out thrown in as needed.

Now if you’ve never used airbrush makeup, I would recommend starting out with as little as possible and gradually layer up. When applying multiple layers of product, like I have here, don’t over-do it. Less is more, and a little goes a long ways are the two rules that areĀ definitely appliedĀ to airbrush cosmetics. My other tip, always use finishing powder. I’ve been trying out Luminess Translucent powder, however I am not impressed with the brush and how the dispenser is set up. So I would definitely not recommend that.

Overall Airbrush Essentials set impressed me with theĀ performance, color (that was a concern, because I thought it wouldn’t match or layer with the foundation well) and ease of use. I do appreciate Airbrush Cosmetics for eliminating the need to touch my face, and its ability to conceal almost everything.

Have you tried Airbrush Cosmetics? What did you think?

A day in Joggers + Monday Mode Link Up

Joggers

hm-joggers

My new go-to pant is this pant suit type jogger. And while it sounds ridiculous, it’s a perfect casual pant for a day out on the town. I have to admit I’ve even worn these to work a couple times. This pair is so easy to style with a white tee, cardigan and some slip on sneakers. I spent almost all day Sunday wearing them, but it was so nice and warm in Milwaukee, I had to change into a skirt! Reminded me of the day last November when I flew here to interview at Kohl’s. Still blows my mind that I now work and live in Milwaukee.

I hope you enjoy today’s look and share your latest post in this week’s link up! But first – our favorite bloggers from last week areĀ Joi from In My JoiĀ andĀ Elise from Sparkle and Slippers

Mock Neck Turtleneck + Monday Mode Link Up

It was such a gorgeous weekend here in Milwaukee, not even the presidential debate could ruin it. I’ve been listening to Regina Spektor’s new album “Remember Us To Life” on my way to and from work lately and her song “The Light” has really been speaking to me. I wanted to share it with you today, and remind you that sometimes we just need to keep trying, keep going and be that light that shines on us. Of course there are days when I am more of a Grand Hotel personage, but remembering that light helps me get through the day šŸ™‚

I’ve been obsessed with Kohl’s “Own your everyday runway” fall campaign, and I have to admit I own quiet a few pieces from that whole line up, including this Elle mock neck sleeveless turtleneck. It’s the softest coziest fall item in my closet at the moment, and did I mention I have it in 2 colors.

I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s been linking up with us every Monday for Monday Mode Link Up! It means the world to us! Your posts inspire me and help me stay on top of blogging.

I feel like I’ve moved to Seattle, no really! The soft drizzle of the rain this weekend, not only helped me catch up on my sleep, but motivated me to go to the gym (because what else is there to do?). I’ve been baking and cooking, and roasting squash, you know it must be fall!

This outfit is a combination of my recent purchases, vintage and thrift finds, and the latest turtleneck trend that’s been popping up everywhere!

I hope you had a great weekend, once again, Jewel, Rachel and I are excited to share Monday ModeĀ link up with you, and we can’t wait to see your latest and greatest! Starting next week we’ll be choosing our favorite style post of the week and featuring the blogger in our next week’s post šŸ™‚ Who is excited?

Every time Monday comes around, I feel kind of cheated. The weekend flew by and instead of being a fun after party, the first day of the week always hits meĀ like a bucket of cold water. I am slowly getting myself into a habit of enjoying this day of the week, being happy and looking forward to a new week!

I spent this weekend in Minneapolis, got to go to my favorite food places, a fashion show, but most importantly, I got to see my friends. I was hoping to have some photos of the outfit I wore by today, but unfortunately I don’t.

September is flying by so quickly, and while some may complain, I am so excited for October! Getting ready for friends and family to visit, Sam’s Birthday, and Halloween! Plus all the pumpkin patches and apple orchards to visit! I need to find some good ones in the Milwaukee area!

I hope you all had a fun filled weekend, make sure to add your latest blog posts to the link up! I can’t wait to check them out!

Hair Detox with Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo

neutrogena-anti-residue-shampoo

Over the past week I’ve been detoxing. It’s not what you think! I’ve been detoxing my hair! It was so easy Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo.

Now that fall is here, I want to make sure my hair is healthy and prepared for the season. This weekend I am traveling back to Minneapolis to see family, friends and check out Envision Anniversary Fashion Show. I need my hair to look and feel good, just one less thing for me to worry about! The great thing about Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo is that it’s a product you can use as a weekly hair shampoo treatment and is safe for color-treated hair. I simply added this shampoo in as a part of my weekly hair care routine, and was very surprised by the difference. Funny thing is, I’ve always noticed this product in the store, but never tried it, until now.

I feel like I’ve been detoxing a lot, or trying to, lately. From my 3 day cleanse, to cleaning out my closet and getting rid of things and stuff that doesn’t make me happy, to updating my beauty routine, my move to Milwaukee is starting to feel more and more like a fresh start!

The cleanse kick is here to stay. I’ve been eating healthier (a lot of vegetables), working out more (free gym membership is probably one of the best perks I get at work), staying positive and happy (surrounding myself with positive people), using new beauty products (like the Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo) and reorganizing my wardrobe (more solid, neutral colors that are timeless).

If you are a hair obsessed 20 or 30 something, you will appreciateĀ Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo. It helps remove all residue caused by other shampoos, conditioners and styling products. Thanks to its mild formula this shampoo is suitable for all hair types, and minimizes chances of causing irritation. My hair ends up feeling so soft and looks shiny every time I use this product!

I have a new once a week rule in my house:

Once a week I clean out and organize my closet, my beauty products and my apartment.

Once a weekĀ I wash my makeup brushes, my towels, my sheets.

Once a week I use the anti-residue shampoo by Neutrogena.

My Anti-Residue Moment: Is staying organized and tidy in all areas of my life.

And finally, don’t miss out the Giveaway! All you need to do isĀ share a photo on Instagram or Twitter about a moment that triggered your need for a hair detox (i.e an up do hairstyle with lots of hairspray, beach vacation, exercising, or getting messy with the kids), and tag me (@BeingZhenya) in your post! I will pick a winner at random by September 29! You can also notify me of your entries by commenting on this Insta photo.Ā US entrants only please!
