We all can use an extra pillowcase or two. That’s why I decided to dedicate my Sunday afternoon to this sewing project.
I had this fitted sheet, that I took the elastic out of. Part of the elastic went towards fixing a thrifted skirt, another part is waiting for it’s hour. My original intention was to throw the fabric away, but I am not as wasteful as you think, hence the pillowcases!
You are going to want to cut out two rectangles – 43″ by 32″ (assuming you are making 2 pillowcases
)
Fold them in half:
Then I took one of the pillowcases that I had and outlined it using a pencil:
Next all you need to do is sew along the side and the bottom, leaving one of the shorter sides open:
And finally fold about 1/2″ of the opening in, and in once again:
And here we have it – brand new pillowcases!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
xo,
Z

That’s so cool! I had no idea, but I really want to go
I just wish I knew my work schedule :/ but I’m gonna keep my fingers crossed that I can come!
me too! i’ll cross my fingers too – maybe if you let ‘em know they’ll switch your schedule around for that day. anyway – i think it’s gonna be pretty neat!
yeah, except for I can’t do that at my job – our schedule is spit out by a computer on a random basis :/
ohhh lamesauce. :/
