As most of you know I go to “Knitting” every Wednesday, well I have kinda been slacking for the past few weeks, but I am getting back on track with my projects. And even though I’ve been having a hard time figuring out what I want to work on next, I decided to settle on crochet jewelry. WHAT?! I know, it’s fun, easy and fast to make, and if some of you remember I made a couple necklaces last spring (check them out here and here). It’s also important to remember that crochet jewelry includes beads, ribbons, chains, and other fun stuff, it’s a symbiosis of jewelry! Oh yeah!
So to give you a feel of what crochet jewelry is all about, here are some inspirational images
I bet you can’t wait what I am going to come up with!

Question: what yarn is used here? Is it cotton? Silk? I’d love to know more.

I’m not really sure, to be honest I buy my yarn at thrift stores, when the tags are already off
I would say it’s a cotton and silk mix!

Ha-ha. So do I! So many of my hats are made from “up-cycled” yarn and I can’t tell you the kind of yarn it is either. These flowers are so delicate, compared to the hats I make. I guess I’ll just go looking for something that’s a finer quality than I usually use. Thanks.

I design and crochet hats, and have often added beads and crocheted flowers to them, but it never occurred to me to turn these additions into jewellery. The more I think about it the more I like it. I might just be branching out! Thank you again for posting this.

Lena, I think the dark lipstick on the model is creepy, because it looks kind of Goth to me. All a matter of taste, I guess.

The top one is my favorite, I might try copy it it’s got a a softer-than-metal, precious feel to it. Also I can wear it in nice weather without it heating up and burning me, unlike my last chain necklace…
