Hemming is easy, especially when you have a good movie or show to watch! This morning, as I was watching 2 Broke Girls, a new series on CBS, I was working on the red skirt I thrifted last week!
The skirt is a treasure indeed, very versatile, can be dressed up or down. This is what it originally looked like:
Then I hemmed this baby – all by hand, it took me about an hour and a half. Bonus: I ended up with a pretty good amount of red fabric, which I am dying to use in an upcoming project!
Paired up with my black heels and a vintage white top, it’s a real high waisted red gem in my clothing collection:
More ideas on styling this skirt here!
Continuing the subject of hemming – I have finally finished working on one of my summer skirts! I wore it to my rehearsal dinner back in August, but later decided that if I wanted to get more wears out of that skirt I needed to hem it. So here it is!
And last, but not least, probably my biggest DIY project here yet – I finally finished my infinity scarf! Remember when I did a post on scarves a while back? Here is my own personal creation!
Double looped for a loose fit
Triple looped for extra warmth:
For those of us who forget to wear hats
Happy Monday everyone, it’s a new week and a fresh start!

WOW! that red skirt is stunning. Now I’m in the mood to hem a dress, even though I cheat and use hemming tape.
Have you seen the 2 Broke Girls episode where they go to Goodwill?

Not yet! Need to finish the dish cloth — boring! And infinity scarf would be much more fun! (Your inspiration is nudging me along, though).
